last tuesday night i took a fluffy-freshly-shampooed-and-conditioned-cinder up to wells to the shepherd's inn where "my" residents were extremely excited to finally meet my puppy. :) i kept meaning to take her there all summer and finally got around to it. i also wanted pictures of the people there, so i thought this was a good time. :) cinder loved it...i've never done anything like that with her before, and she's 17 (yes, SEVENTEEN!) so i wasn't sure how she'd handle it, but she did just fine, and practically smiled in every picture too. :) haha! today was my last day working there before college! hopefully i'll get to work over christmas break, but i've been training in my replacement person so there's a possibility they won't need me being replacements are found for me and the other college girl there. anyway, it's been a very good job...i loved it! yes, it definitely had it's NOT so fun times (ahem), but the people are so sweet (99% of them...heehee :)) and i always have something different to keep busy with every day. two ladies passed away last week so that was really sad (one of them is on the right in the third picture)...the other one was the lady that i spent nights sitting with from 5-9. i actually think that evelyn was saved...she was so excited about heaven and every night would tell me she that she thought she was going to see Jesus that night. she agreed with everything i said about salvation, and explained she wasn't afraid of dying, just the dying-process, and that was why she wanted someone to be there with her as she went to sleep every night. one day she broke her hip, and that put her in the hospital, where she eventually passed away there. anyway, i'm going to miss my summer job...even though the only part of it that really seemed like a "job" was the part where i had to get up at 5:30 am!...haha...by 9am i was usually having a good time. :) anybody wanna play bingo?? ;)
