muddin :D

the very first morning sam & abby were here, i introduced
them to a talent one would not think me efficient at, but
definitely an existent one: getting stuck. :) after going over
to my grandpa's and working on the 4wheeler (well, sam
was working on it...grandpa was..."helping" :)...his idea of
new sparkplugs are ones that come out of the oven and then
are "as good as new" ;) anyway, they finally got it going so we
drove around grandpa's woods for a little bit, then went down to a
pond & woods down the road. i assure you i've driven through
there before, but...it's been a while, and back when there
was a visable path. evidentally the already narrow bank that
goes between the pond and the river has been hollowed out by
a beaver so it was a good thing we just got across...after that
i chickened out and wanted to turn around but sam said he'd
drive. he did great, but neither of us knew where we were
going...you'd be surprised at the stuff that thing can drive
through...i guess the path didn't go straight through the
thicket thing, but...it does now. anyway,we went back
to my place after that by following field driveways
(or...just..fields). we picked up abby who had just gotten
out of the shower (but didn't stay clean for long...oops) and
i decided to show them this cool place down in the woods by
our river. sam was driving, but i'll take the blame
i guess...apparently the last time i was down there it wasn't
spring and the mud wasn't knee deep. so yeah...we got
stuck...abby and i both had flip flops on and finally decided
to ditch them being it was more work trying to keep
them on. then of course we had to find something sharp
in the mud and slice our feet open...ahem....oops...sorry
bout that ab. : anyway, after abby & i took turns
gunning the throttle while the other one "helped" sam
push, i could tell that two girls weren't enough help being
the mud was over the tires so i convinced sam to let me go
get mike...an expert in getting out all the things
i get stuck ;). so ab & i limped back to the house
and eventually heard the 4wheeler come back in to the
yard outside. we tried to help the guys wash the 4wheeler off,
but at times abby & i were mysteriously getting wetter
than the 4wheeler so we just watched. :) sam would
want me to specify that the pictures were taken AFTER he
hosed himself off, so really it was even worse than that. :)
haha. (and I would like to specify that the huge glob of
mud on my face was not from no 4wheeler. :) after that
we went from mud to dust when sam did about 3 thousand
donuts on our road...the dust is still settling btw...i
can almost see our neighbor's place. and it's fun to
see passing cars try to get over the deep circley-ruts
for a mile to the west & east...hahahaha! jk. anyway,
wow...i should stop talking one of these hours...obviously,
that was a fun day. :) sam, never underestimate
the stupidity of a blonde. (hey can we go snowmobiling?!)
