(awww...)
(ta ta ta...look at that green & yellow)
(this hair makes for a super cool punk look after going about 60on a quad....hahahaha :))
(thanks for getting the quad in the picture, ally...:) jk )
well i'm gonna try and recap the 5 days i was in
(thanks for getting the quad in the picture, ally...:) jk )
well i'm gonna try and recap the 5 days i was in michigan although it would be hard to remember
everything! sam picked me up in saginaw around
7:30 on wednesday. we went back to his house,
looked at some pictures & stuff then went to chad
(childs) house and met his family & brothers. umm...
i can't rememeber what we did after that, but eventually
went back to his house and i met his family being they
were home from church by then. thursday sam and his
dad finished a roofing job and by the time they were done
i had just gotten up (hehe...it was only 8:30 or so) and
then i rode into town with them to do some stuff...after
that i met his grandpa. (who is pretty funny if i
do say so myself...one day we drove into his yard, and
he yells out the window, "hey! it's sam and the
fat girl!" hahaha!) anyway, we picked up ethan childs
and went to Birch Run and went to A&W and then
the outlet malls. that afternoon sam & i sighted in
his grandpa's .22 and we all went on a bike ride around
cat lake. (the cutest little lake ever :)) umm...i'm forgetting
lots of little things we did, but anyway, that night
we went into town and got some movies, and every night
after that we watched a few. (as well as sam's junior play...
hahhaa!) friday sam had a couple of lawns to mow so
while he was doing that, his sisters machelle, abbey,
and elsie took me into Frankenmooth to shop!
Frakenmooth is an old German town that is totally
tourist-oriented. it also has the WORLDS largest
christmas store! that was pretty cool. :) so we spent
the morning there and shopping at the little cobble-stone
village place ("river place") and walked up & down
main street going to all the little shops there too.
(thanks girls for the tour!! that was so fun!) that
afternoon sam & i went into town to get some food
for the bonfire that night, and stopped at a few
places on the way (sam is related to EVERYBODY,
and if he's not, he still knows them...hahaha!). also,
he took me to his great-aunts house, so i got to meet her
& stuff. the rest of the afternoon we just got ready
for the bon fire, and played withwalker outside...
sam is sooo cute with him, and walker just adores
sam. :) the uhls invited like, 100 people to the bonfire,
and not that many were there, but...it was a lot. :) most
of sam's cousins are around our age, and so when
you add in all their boyfriends/girlfriends, neighbors
and friends from church and highschool...it added up!
we played volleyball, soccer (not me...it looked a
little too vicious so i sat out with the rest of the wimpy
girls ;)), but prolly the most FUN part was riding
quads! (i FINALLY figured out the difference
between quads & 4-wheelers: quads are the dirt-
bike form of a 4-wheeler...and much more fun
let me tell ya ;)) anyway, sam's cousin craig has
a Yamaha Raptor 800R (thanks for helping me
out with the name ethan ;)) and there was another
one there too that was pretty cool but i don't know
what it was. hehe. sooo...yeah, there was usually
SOMEONE on the quads all night. sam taught me
how to shift it, and it was pretty jerky but...i sorta
got it. ;) as the night went on, something called
dew formed on the grass, and that eventually ended
our little rides...hahaha! the guys were doing wheelies on a
longer stretch of the wet lawn, and then spinning
around when they got to the end. bj & beth got
there around midnight from saginaw, and on bj's
second ride, they hit a dry spot of dirt on the lawn
and...sorta...flipped. bj got cozy with a wood pile,
and the bent-handle bar quad didn't feel like
starting after that...hehe...ooops. bj's first words
were, "OW THAT WAS FUN!!!" hahaha! anyway,
he's a little stiff and swollen, but ok. :) saturday
sam didn't even attempt to wake me up being we went
to bed around 3:30, and he left at 6:30 am for a soccer game.
him & ethan came back to pick me up around 11, and we
went back for two more games. (hence the red,
sunburned faces in the one picture :)) call me partial, but sam's
pretty sweet at soccer & it was fun to watch him play. :)
that night we went to a friend's house-warming/open house
party and played volleyball, horse shoe golf, ate food, watched
a handicapped girl hit on sam...etc. ;) sunday i went to
sunday school and church with the uhls and then sam
took me to saginaw to catch my ride back with bj. :(((
sniff sniff! wow...i've been talking forever huh...i
REALLY did not mean to talk about EVERYTHING.
anyway, it was a very fun week, and i know i've forgotten
a lot of the little things we did. thank you to sam's
family for being so sweet and making me feel at home!
and thank you to sam for an awesome 5 days :D
(and thankyou to all of YOU for actually reading this far!! :))
(ps...another good color combo huh sam ;))
