I LOVE DEMO DERBYS!!!!! a week ago last friday night (is that right??? man time flies!!!) i met jes in blue earth around 6 pm, and we got to the grandstands....and hour early. hahahaha! the whole night we were so stupid...we were planning on going on the rides for an hour first and then on to the derby. being the fair was on, they were charging for parking, so thinking we were being smart money-saving college students, we parked across the road at walmart. only to walk over there and not see any ticket booth!! "what???" anyway, we kept walking and get to the fairgrounds area...only to...not see ANY rides!! :P and then it dawned on us...the fair isn't until NEXT week!! hahahahahahhahahahahahaha! thankfully, there was still a derby so we just went straight to the grand stands and got some super sweet seats. :) i don't know what is so exhillerating about getting sprayed with mud when cars go sliding by, but sitting in the third row sure was fun! :) we saved seats for mom & dad & mike and they came a little later. all in all, i guess i've seen better derbys but it was still pretty cool. :) what can i say...summer is so much fun!! :D

HAHA!!! It's a good thing no one else is in the office right now 'cause I couldn't help but laught out loud when I read that you girls were 1 week and 1 hour early to the Blue Earth fair!!! :D You must have been having some Bertha and Thelma moments! :)

yeah - we kinda struggle getting out of bertha and thelma character after wednesdays - i mean, friday night is very soon after. anyways, i love all you blogged, laura! what a fun time that was - at least we don't have to wait for everything to start in order to have fun together, right? heehee! :) i think, though, that my favorite part was the fireworks. ;)
